JUST JUMP IN
Stop thinking.
Yes, I’m talking to YOU.
And yes, you heard me damn right.
Just stop thinking too much.
You’re creating problems that don’t even exist.
You’re thinking so much about the “what ifs” and the “maybes” and the “perhapses”, that you’re losing sight of the plot.
The truth is – it’s the THINKING that’s creating your issues.
You know, the boiling molasses that goes inside that swirling cauldron on top of your neck.
The dilemmas around most situations exists only inside your head.
Nowhere else.
STOP BEING THE PROBLEM
All that over-thinking does is kill you dead.
It doesn’t let you go anywhere and it doesn’t let you do anything with your life and your dreams.
It just gets worse and worse, spinning around in your head like a self constricting vortex, till it takes over your life.
Dancing around the rim doesn’t do anything for you except stress you out.
Sitting on the fence is another name of disaster (and yeah, you might slip and impale yourself).
You need to get things done.
Keyword = done!
And the only way to get things done is to – do them.
But you won’t ever get to do them if you just keep on balking.
That’s why you need to jump right in and hustle.
Nothing is ever going to be perfect.
Not everything is going to go our way.
You’ve heard about the best laid plans of mice and men.
And you’re dipping your toe in the water, testing it out?
The only way to get somewhere is to start walking.
Then face problems as they come – cause they will come anyway, regardless of how “perfect” your plan is.
Granted, some kind of plan is warranted – I am not asking you to be stupid.
But TOO MUCH of a plan is just as much of a catastrophe as having none at all.
It’s the root of all heartache and misery when faced with the need for a decision.
Who needs that?
Yes, action may be scary but it beats the crap out of waiting for things to happen.
Or waiting for opportunity to pass you by.
Or worse, for others to make your plans for you.
THE MAGIC OF RIGHT NOW
Look.
You can’t possibly prepare for all eventualities.
Problems will always seem bigger inside your head than they really are.
What “could be” is utter bullshit – “what is”, is where you need to look at.
And “what is” – where too much thinking is involved – can only be one thing.
Stagnation.
You’re not going to get anywhere that way.
Ever.
So let me show you some of the magic of right now and how important it is to seize the moment.
Important? Make that VITAL!
As of RIGHT NOW, stop planning out all the minute details about your next step in life.
If you have the rudiments of a good plan, if you believe in your dream so completely, it lives and breathes with you – then go for it.
You’ll make your own solutions as you go along.
Just as long as you want it just as much as you need air to breathe.
That is all you need to make things happen.
That is the root of all success.
I DARE YOU THIS ONE
Do this today.
Do it right now.
Take that question that has been dancing around in your head so long and MAKE A CHOICE.
It could be anything – the job decision that has been scaring you, that phone call you have been putting off, that thing you’ve been meaning to tell someone, that apology you’ve been meaning to make, that visit you have been dreading…anything that’s eating up your mind right now.
Just jump in.
You can either sit at the crossroads, wondering which road is best to travel…or you can start walking.
No two ways about it.
Your choice.
Make it a good one.
Just never forget how important every single day is and how absolutely precious the people who love you truly are.
Time is not your friend.
And you will never get enough time with the people you love.
Do you have what it takes to take me up on my dare?
If you do, let’s rock!
And tell me all about it.
