I Tawt I Taw A Puddy Tat…
DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT TELLING ME TO SWITCH MY “BEAST MODE” ON
I get pretty tired of these happity clappity one liners after a while.
I am talking about the ones invented by the recreational fitness crowd to stroke their little egos.
You know the kind – they are the ones that put up Facebook updates (complete with Lycra hugging selfies) about how much they sweat during their itsy bitsy workouts, climbing up the water spout (no offense to spiders anywhere either).
The same ones that boast about how much it BURNED baby and how SORE their little bum-bums are the day after.
Hey, I have nothing against a little Lycra – I just wouldn’t be caught dead wearing it.
But seriously man…
Go right ahead and switch your “Beast Mode On” – whatever the hell that means (I always get this mental image of people trying out Hulk poses in front of a mirror, complete with pseudo-roars).
Hey, if you show me where that switch is, I will be pretty happy to press it all day long too.
Jam my finger right in there for you.
Yes, some crap I see really riles me up – because it goes completely around the whole point of why we need to be doing this.
LET’S PISS SOME PEOPLE OFF
You see, there is an intrinsic problem buried in the expectations that most of those that try to take up a fitness lifestyle have.
These people are going around looking for CHANGE.
While this might sound good on the surface, it really isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
Change is, at best, temporary.
Change happens on the surface. It’s purely cosmetic.
Change fixes something for the foreseeable future (which might be a day to a few weeks).
It’s how most gyms and feckless trainers make money – they prey on your kindling desire to do something different.
An overwhelming amount of these “changes” last only a few weeks/months at best.
Change is how New Year’s Resolutions are made – remind me again how many of those manage to hobble into February?
We don’t work with change.
It’s a cheap concept favoured by those one-dimensional coaches who are probably doing this shit as a part time job.
A little bit on the side baby.
There is no involvement. No exploration of self. No introspection.
They can’t do it, won’t do it or don’t know how to do it.
You know what Bon Jovi said about these jokers: “you give love a bad name”.
WHERE IT’S AT
What we do is about TRANSFORMATION.
And that, friends and neighbours, is all about how to see the big picture in minute detail.
It’s about listening.
It’s about feeling.
It’s about going deep.
It’s about exploring hidden places inside us and finding the true reasons that drive us.
And fixing them, from the ground up.
Now that’s a long, convoluted process involving innate understanding, patience and an absolute love for changing people’s lives.
It requires an investment on both sides – the client and the coach.
We call it Life Performance – and yes, we are damn good at it.
And no, it’s not our part time job either.
This is what we do.
This is what drives us.
This is what defines us.
This is the entire reason we are here.
It is what we sleep, drink, breathe and live.
Part time games are for cheapos and wannabes – and I have time for neither.
I kinda like the quality thing more than the quantity thing.
We love to work with people who believe they are worth it and who want to invest in themselves.
It is a well known fact that the people who pay the least are the ones who demand the most – and the ones who achieve the bare minimum.
Definitely not our league.
And that’s why we have built an amazing track record of successes.
Because we believe in our clients as much as they do in themselves.
And we will give them 120% – and ask for just 100% back.
SO, WHERE’S THAT SWITCH AGAIN?
Now you see, that’s why switching on the “Beast Mode” is misleading.
It sets you up for temporary achievements.
It doesn’t teach you the foundations of long term success.
It’s all about a toggle – then it’s back to pussy time.
I’d rather show you how to build things from the ground up and have you live and breathe the modifications in your life that are going to get you from A to B.
Sure, it is going to take longer.
Sure it’s going to take more effort on my part (and yours as well).
Sure it’s going to require me to have a lot more knowledge than the average Trainer Joe Blow from Kokomo.
That’s why I am not a trainer, by the way.
I’m a Life Performance Connoisseur – and I have spent every single day of the last 24 years becoming one.
But all this extra investment will pay off in the end.
Because it will get my client exactly where they WANT to be.
And where they DESERVE to be.
This kind of commitment is all about removing the brakes from your mind and heart.
And using that new momentum as an impetus for everything else that is going to happen in your life.
Once we help a client truly believe in themselves, truly believe in who they really are – then the rest, as they say, is history.
Don’t take my word for it – I am biased of course.
Just check our clients’ success stories.
Then make up your own mind if you want to unleash the beast – or just “switch it on” for an hour or so.
I know what I want.
