STAND UP FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN – Part 2
PROTECT YOURSELF AT ALL TIMES
In Stand Up For What You Believe in – Part 1, we underlined the fact that most people are not really in charge of their lives.
They are more like corks bobbing in stormy water, at the mercy of the waves.
And yes, scarily enough, even the most successful people amongst us are susceptible to this.
In this second instalment, we will find out what it takes to get back our lives and put some order in the chaos.
Read on and find out how one single step (practiced over and over) can actually be the key to making us the best version of ourselves we can be.
It’s time to start living the dream instead of just being a statistic in life.
In the best Michael Buffer tradition…”Let’s get ready to rumble!”
GET YOUR GLOVES UP LADIES – IT’S TIME TO FIGHT BACK
Seeing that women are the more susceptible group, let’s take them as an example (keep in mind that men will benefit from this too).
What I have learnt from years of helping women become more successful and empowered is that they need to change HOW they do things in order for them to change what they do.
For example, I have noticed that successful women will
Do the things they love to do, not the things they are told they have to do
Stop rolling along with the tide of life and go in a direction that fulfills them most
Stand up and speak their minds even when no one else is doing it (despite the fact that everyone else might still be thinking it)
Stop saying “I know” and move on to “I do”
Turn their relationships from something they have into something they want
Stop seeing problems and start seeing opportunities that just need solutions
So ladies, bear with me for just one minute.
Just one.
Put everything to the side and SERIOUSLY think about this.
Most women spend their time doing what they NEED to do.
(Does this include you?)
It is not an agenda that gives them individuality, but rather one that has been imposed on them by family or society, or dogma (pick your choice).
Now, if you wanted to be that amazing woman of your dreams – would you be doing what you are doing now?
Or would you do things differently?
If you wanted to be as beautiful, composed and as glamorous as you see yourself in your dreams, would you change or even completely remove any of your current habits?
If you wanted to feel respected for who you are, would you react to things in a different way than you do now?
If you need a more loving, more balanced relationship, are there things you would ask from your significant other that you are not asking now?
If you are a mother who wants a better organised home, with more time for her kids and less stress in your life, would there be anything you would change?
Now here is the kicker.
Do you think that the change you need is going to come from what you are doing NOW – or do you need to usher in the change yourself?
Not a very difficult question, I am sure.
A richer, more fulfilled life is not going to happen by itself.
And that is what we want to do with our clients.
Whether it is the most amazing body you can achieve, a more successful career, a better life at home, and a more loving relationship, our job is to give you all the tools you need to achieve this.
And this involves changing your mindset, followed by your beliefs, followed by your habits – in exactly that order.
It won’t work any other way.
It may work for a little while, but for long lasting changes, the revolution has to start from the inside out.
HOW TO GET THE LIFE YOU WANT
It’s time to exorcise those demons out of you.
It’s time to stop listen to their hateful voices, and their venom-filled whispers.
Can you imagine how much more amazing your life would be without these voices in your head, and these vampires in your heart?
A world where your every thought, and your every decision wasn’t subconsciously assailed as soon as it took shape?
How much more would you be able to accomplish?
How much more successful would you be?
Think about it for a minute.
Do you want it?
How do you do it?
The first thing you need to do is stand up against your biggest enemy.
YOURSELF.
You need to tell yourself to remove all that mental garbage that is stopping you from finding your way to a better place.
A place you DESERVE to be in.
Because all that stuff in your head, all those things on your agenda you have always seen as things you must do IS clutter – no matter how much you have been told otherwise.
And it is obstructing your way to a better view of the outcome of your life that you WANT to live.
Every time you want to do something – but that voice tells you that you are not good enough.
Every time you want to contribute to a conversation – but that voice tells you that you’re going to sound stupid.
Every time you want a more loving relationship – but that voice inside you tells you that you are lucky to be getting what you are getting.
Every single time you want to go to a better place, but one of those demons pipes up – STAND UP and tell it exactly where to go.
You don’t want it.
You don’t need it.
You are far better off without it.
It’s time to open up your eyes, and recognize those demons for what they are.
Your own personal destruction.
They come in different shapes and sizes for everyone, but we all have our own.
And the worst mistake we can ever make is close our eyes and think we are immune.
We’re not.
Put the cross-hairs right between the eyes of each and every one of your demons – and let them have it.
PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT
Just in case it crossed your mind – this is no “one step wonder” process.
Standing up is going to take repeated practice.
Even just recognizing your own demons for who they are is going to take time.
It is something you are going to have to do over and over again, till it becomes second nature.
You ARE going to fall, you ARE going to fail.
And you are going to have to get right back up.
Because something like this is not an event.
It’s a process.
A skill that has to be repeated in order to be mastered.
But that should not be something that puts us off.
The very fact that it is a skill means it is something that can be learned by application.
That means, given enough dedication, just about everyone can do it.
And so can you.
So, find a safe place where those demons cannot enter. Your own little hideaway. You know you have one.
This will keep them away while your inner exorcist has a chance to work.
(The whole reason being that the demons actually live in a different part of the brain than the exorcist does – more about threat and logic and the reptilian vs the mammalian vs the neocortex brain areas in another article.)
Work on the standing up.
Work on recognizing the demons.
Work on killing them dead.
And work on tossing their corpses out.
Just keep in mind that, as in all good zombie movies, the corpses can always come back to life.
You just need to be vigilant always.
Oh, and of course, if you need any help, we are right here for you.
For all those ladies who just want to break out of their chains and be the best they can be, this is what our Re-Invention program is specifically engineered to do.
Walk with you all the way from here to your triumph.
So you don’t have to do this alone.
All you need to do is want to change – want it so bad that you are willing to change all those ingrained thoughts and processes you have used as a cage all your life.
Here is to your success!
