Listen up.

I’m not going to wish you or anyone else a “Happy New Year”.

That’s the good stuff you read about in fairy tales.

Remember that “and they lived happily ever after” line?

Just like that one.

It’s great line for a story. The kind that comes with no questions attached.

But it’s not so cool for real life.

Around this time of year, I get too many people who are looking for “happily ever after”.

Looking for the quick fix. The magic pill. The 6 minute workout. The January discounts.

Yeah, right. Good luck with that.

I guarantee you are going to fail that way. Absolutely and unconditionally.

I have seen it happen so many times that it’s just not funny.

“Quick” and “easy” are the shiny wrappings of disaster.

That’s why we never work with people who are looking for the short road home.

I don’t want to pander to anyone’s complacency or their need to be lied to.

I will only give you the real deal.

 

WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT – HERE IS HOW IT WORKS

You want this to be a great new year?

So here is the truth.

Here is what I wish for you.

I wish you some serious hard work.

You want to get somewhere? Damn well bust your butt for it.

You want to succeed like you do in your dreams? Roll up your sleeves, get into the ring and get ready for some good, hard knocks.

Because, after all, that is the only way a great year happens.

By working for it with everything you got.

By believing in yourself and your dreams unreservedly.

By never, EVER giving the hell up.

By deciding to stand back up and go one more round – when all you want to do is stay down on the floor and close your eyes.

That’s right. Take the “Happy New Year” line and CRUSH IT.

MAKE this your year.

Grab it.

Own it.

Make it scream your name.

Consistency. Discipline. Courage. Dependability. Accountability. Make these qualities yours.

Then dream big and go for it.

One step at a time.

And this year belongs to you.
