Social isolation and lockdowns actually INCREASE susceptibility to infection.

People are being coaxed to think that these measures will somehow make Covid-19 start crying, give up, pack its little virus travel bags and boohoo its way back to Virus Scary Wary Land, sniffling into its little virus handkerchief all the way.

Well, sorry to pop your little bubble there, Jolanda.

All the imposed restrictions are doing is delaying the infection, and subsequent immunity, of healthy people.

Just in case it slipped your mind, Covid-19 is NOT the only virus out there. Not by a long shot.

There are only about a trillion other viruses lurking in the dark woods, waiting for your unhealthy ass to peep out from behing your door, blinking and shading your eyes from that bright light (it’s called sunlight, remember?).

That is why cases spike when restrictions are lifted – not because restrictions were relaxed but because restrictions were implemented in the first place.

Are we going to implement quarantine for every virus out there?

For fuck’s sake, this is Virology 101.

FACTS, NOT FICTION…I MEAN, PROJECTIONS

Keep the following planted firmly in your head.

The vast majority of people have nothing to fear from Covid-19.

We are now seeing studies showing that the mortality rate was vastly over-estimated because the true extent of infection and subsequent recovery was not taken into account.

All data shows that the vast majority of people who die are people in their 70’s 80’s and 90’s who have co-morbidities.

Those that do not fall into this definition are not, cannot and should not be used as justifications for draconian measures taken to destroy our way of life.

That’s not how it works. Wake up and smell it.

What we are reading about Covid-19 in the media is propaganda masquerading as science.

Once again, we repeat – for those conveniently blind people who only see what they want to see – what we have been saying from day one:

Our job is to PROTECT THE VULNERABLE.

It’s NOT to lockdown an entire country based on projections that have now been shown to be severely flawed, and that should never, ever have been used in the first place.

It is NOT to use random stories of death to as proof and support for what is essentially the forcible removal of civil liberties and normal human interaction.

Which will, in itself, cause even more stories of death that will inevitably happen (and already is) from people being forced not to work, not to earn a living, not to interact, not to meet, not to hug and not to spend time together.

People have been dying in larger numbers than from Covid-19 from the flu (and about ten thousand other things) every year. Each one of those deaths is painful, especially to the people close to the deceased.

Where were you all, chest-beating, finger-pointing, sanctimonious bastards then?

And why are you advocating measures that will causes far greater damage than Covid-19 ever will?

Make no mistake – RESPONSIBLE and INTELLIGENT herd immunity is the ONLY way out of this.

It can be done.
